Bitter sweet day, I just received my last Ipsy subscription bag!! For those of you not familiar with Ipsy.... https://www.ipsy.com/
Here is my last bag, and it was a really great bag....probably one of my best... I have been with Ipsy from the beggining, and I just feel it is time to move on.
I'm open to any suggestions, what you guys subscribe to, the good bad and ugly:)
I purchased these items about a month ago, I have now had time to test them out... They were very inexpensive, and came from Walmart or Target.
the photo above only contains E.L.F. products....
E.L.F Contour Blush and Bronzing, in both cream and powder forms ( I was unsure of which would work better for my skin). In the color- St. Lucia http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/blush/contouring_blush_and_bronzing_cream
I loved these and use a mixture of each to create the look I want.... the only thing, for me the St. Lucia isn't quite dark enough, I want a more sculpted look. Great product and very affordable.
HD Setting Powder- http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/powder/high_definition_powder
Makeup Setting Spray- http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/tools/makeup_mist_and_set
I loved each one of the items above!! Highly recommend them all.
Under Eye Concealer and Highlighter- In Glow/Fair- http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/eyes/concealers_and_primers/under_eye_concealer_and_highlighter
The concealer gives great coverage, could be a little lighter (I purchased the lightest shade). I have not really used the highlighter end yet.... Great brush.
I also got a few things not made by E.L.F, and one of them was probably one of my most adored cosmetic finds....
Powder Palette - Mineral Glow Pearls- By Physicians Formula- In Translucent- http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-us/productdetail/powder-palette/blush/07042.html
I don't think I can truly put in a blog, how much I am in love with this!!! It is the perfect highlighter. Not just a bunch of cruddy looking glitter!! I wear it every day with or without any other products, I use as eye shadow, I mix it in my lip gloss.... It comes in the cutest compact, has a little pearl in the middle- If you do highlighters, GO GET IT NOW....
Last, but not least.... I picked up a great Sonja Kashuk Angled Contour Brush- http://www.target.com/p/sonia-kashuk-core-tools-large-angled-contour-brush-no-113/-/A-10320312
Baby Skin Pore Eraser- By Maybelline- http://www.walmart.com/ip/34121134?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227022778620&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=40843558112&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=78657117752&veh=sem
These were just some items I wanted to share....As always I like to rave on about things that I feel deserve it, and just DOA the things that don't :) No negativity here
-Let me start by saying I have not worn foundation since I was 15 or so.... I have always been the "give me a tinted BB cream" type of gal. Recently, I found myself watching beauty tutorials on Youtube, and it got me wanting to shake things up a bit :).... I am 29 and holding (for like 5 years now), I did have troublesome skin as a teenager. A few break outs here and there, nothing to serious, and I never get them anymore. My cheeks were left with some scarring ( which is the reason I never loaded a bunch of foundation on my face)....It just seemed to make it look worse!!! Now as an adult I have some mild melasma and a few dark spots... My skin is both oily and dry. This foundation works just as good, if not better without a primer!!!!! Of course I apply it to clean, moisturized skin. * Apply with a wedge sponge broken in half, with a stippling motion, for scars and huge pores.
I do have a beauty blender and a few stipple brushes, the torn wedge just gives better results for the problem areas. This is a medium to full coverage foundation, I apply thin layers and then let each one dry until I achieve the coverage I want. It is very MATTE and it stays that way, until you wash it off. Its only $5.94 at Walmart, you just cant beat it, a product that actually works and works wonders, and its dirt cheap.... The smell is very subtle, reminds of skin so soft lotions, from Avon, when I was a little girl. It feels really good on my skin, doesn't cause any extra blemishes. It does cover dark under eye areas, and sun spots. I don't need concealer with this foundation. I have not tried the Fit Me! Powder yet, but I hope to in the future. I usually just set this with HD setting powder. My shade is 128 Warm Nude. All in all, this is a great foundation for the gal who doesn't really wear foundation! It is a foundation that can help enhance skin that is not so perfect! XOXO-Leighanna
